Of course my name is "Susie" and if you hadn't guessed it, I love vintage things. I live in a world of boys (husband and two sons), so it's no surprise I find respite in all things feminine. Vintage materials, including my favorite...barkcloth, are what inspire me. The colors and designs used in years gone by are both lovely and somehow comforting. My collection is vast... although my husband may call it something else entirely. Simply put, I love rose florals and I love textiles.
I learned to sew some years ago with both my grandmother Rose and my mother Lorraine. I fell in love with sewing and for years I've happily created things for family and friends. I think my mother probably has enough totes to outfit a village, and each and every new baby that enters our family receives a special quilt of their own. As my work made it's way out into the world, I began to receive more and more requests from people who wanted to purchase goodies.
It's long been a dream of mine to be able to share my love of all things vintage with others. Through the support of my family and friends, I am happy to be embarking on this journey. If I can somehow make you smile, then I am content.
